Be Smart's
one-on-one in-home test preparation program has an unparalleled
success rate. Eighty percent of the students who complete
our program increase their test scores significantly.
Our program
includes practice tests and two to three hours of individualized
homework per session. Our students learn powerful test-taking
strategies, while they thoroughly review necessary math, science,
and English skills.
We offer
both comprehensive test preparation and condensed courses
for upper-level students and students who have a limited amount
of time. In addition, we have courses that focus exclusively
on specific test areas.
One-On-One
Instruction
Different
students learn in different ways. Be Smart's one-on-one test
preparation allows our tutors to focus on each student's individual
requirements. We don't put students in impersonal groups.
Instead, we work with students individually to help them reach
their goals.
Individual
Attention
Each
of our students has an individual tutor, so it's easy to ask
questions. And our students get answers, explanations, and
suggestions for further improvement tailored specifically
for their needs.

Competitive
Pricing

competitors charge for group courses.
How
Our Programs Work
The
Diagnostic Test
Our programs
begin with a diagnostic test. At the first session, student
and instructor review the test to analyze test-taking ability
and strengths and weaknesses. The diagnostic test aids in
setting the proper goals for the exam, and helps the tutor
to design a customized instruction plan.
Proven
Test-Taking Strategies
We arm
our students with powerful and up-to-date strategies for each
section of the test. We emphasize test-taking strategy in
both sessions and homework. Our approach makes the test less
intimidating and more like a challenging game. Our students
learn to think like and outsmart the test writers.
Math
and Verbal Fundamentals
Our students
receive a thorough grounding in math and verbal basic skills
keyed to a specific exam. The diagnostic test and a consistent
analysis of tests and homework assignments allow student and
instructor to monitor progress and pinpoint weak areas.
Mock
Test
To give
a 'real' test-taking experience, we offer simulated exams,
administered in group settings. The exam is computer analyzed
and returned to the student and instructor for review.
More
Details about Our Program
Trial
Session
The first
test preparation session is an introductory, no-obligation
trial session. Students commit to a program only after this
initial session. If the student not completely satisfied,
there is no charge for the session.
Scheduling
We schedule
at the student's convenience. After the trial session, student
and instructor arrange a schedule that works best for the
student.
Materials
We provide
all materials as part of the program fee, including course
books, real exams, and other materials where appropriate.
Homework
Homework
is an integral and crucial part of our program. Without it,
our program loses much of its effectiveness. Typically, students
are assigned two to three hours of homework per session. Homework
gives an opportunity to practice the skills learned in the
sessions. Students practice on real exams while building vocabulary
and skills using exercises from the course book and other
materials.
